Design your own dress
Right now there are 2 styles, either flowers cascading down across the front and a solid sash, or the 3 rows of ruffles and a flower sash. The wonderful thing about these is they are comfy!! No itchy fabric here, just cotton. and they are totally customizable...
1. Pick your style
2. Pick your flower type: rose, wild flower, poppy, or "mixed bouquet"
3. Pick your color
Stay tuned for them to be added to the shop :)
Let the Wild Rumpus Start!
Last weekend we celebrated my own little wild thing's 3rd Birthday. Grace totally came up with the theme a few months ago, and while I admit I was shocked at the idea at first, I quickly fell in love with it. We both had a lot of fun getting it all ready, and it reminded me how much of a classic the story truly is (and not only because I ordered 6 copies of the book from ebay to cut up and make decorations out of and would have to read them all, one after another to her before bed. :) Most of the things we used were either from the books or from awesome fellow etsy sellers...
Clockwise from top left corner: fondant cake toppers from http://www.etsy.com/shop/TheLilDetails, pinwheel, paper characters, story book on a clothesline all from recycled books, the adorable tiny crown clip from http://www.etsy.com/shop/Dariami, bottle cap precut images that I strung on yarn from http://www.etsy.com/shop/zwillinge97, paper straws to go into the mason jar tumblers from http://www.etsy.com/shop/MakingMemoriesFun, and eco-friendly utensils with quotes from the book from http://www.etsy.com/shop/SucreandSpice
It really was handmade from the heart. I feel like in a world full of mass produced, sometimes a little "handmade" can put things in perspective and be inspiring. ;)

Mod heirloom Dolls :)
They are finally listed in the shop! Approx. 26 inches long and super soft (chenille) cheeks for cuddling :) Two outfit choices, but can do any color if you have a specific color combo in mind, to match a nursery or your sweet babe's favorite color. Enjoy!

Sneak Peek :)
Sooo... I have a lot of fun new things in the works and I decided to share one of them before it's done. I have been working on customizable heirloom dolls. Made of a combination of new and recycled fabrics. I wanted to make them look classic with a touch of modern. It took a couple of faces and undoing and redoing and I think I have finally decided on one. The nice thing about them is that they are all made of fabric and thread, so no small pieces and extra parts. Can't wait to have them finished with clothing and three color hair choices blond (yellow), brown, red (orange). Stay tuned for more... have a relaxing Sunday.

"The mighty oak was once a little nut that stood its ground"
Happy Monday! This quote was in my fortune cookie and may quite possibly be the best one I have gotten... ever.
It is so nice to see the sun and it is beyond inspiring to wake up to... I will be working on some owl pillow buddies today and in case you missed them here you go...
They are made out of recycled knit and totally customizable. They make neat little one of a kind gifts and are perfect for the eco- conscious loved one in your life. :)

It's official, Dainty Cheeks has a blog!
So excited to embark on a New Year... I have so many ideas and designs that I can't wait to share. I just completed 4 new upcycled sweater dresses and they have been added to the shop. My favorite thing about these is that they are as "one of a kind" as you can get. Each one is a little different and truly does have its own personality.
